Dr. Penny Pexman

Dr. Penny Pexman, an internationally renowned cognitive psychologist, serves as the Vice President of Research at Western University. Throughout her impressive 25-year tenure at the University of Calgary, Dr. Pexman established the Language Processing Lab and served in various distinguished roles, including her most recent position as the Associate Vice-President of Research and a Professor in the Psychology Department. She is also the co-founder of Women in Cognitive Science Canada and is a member of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute and the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute. Her research centers on how we derive meaning from language.
